The 2023 BMW 3 Series vs. the 2023 Mercedes C-Class provides a close competition, but one of these impressive vehicles has the edge.
Performance
Whether you're looking for speed or handling, both of these sedans can provide. You shouldn't settle for anything less than the best, however, and the 3 Series tends to have the advantage. Both vehicles offer a top speed of 155 mph, but the 3 Series can get to 60 mph much faster, with a time of just 3.8 seconds, while the C-Class takes 4.3 seconds to accomplish the same feat. Additionally, the 3 Series is typically easier to drive, with more responsive steering, while the C-Class feels heavier and bulkier despite the actual sizes of the cars being generally the same.
Interior
German engineering typically involves interiors that are positively luxurious, and these sedans are certainly no exception to that trend. One of the most noticeable interior features of the 3 Series is its curved-glass infotainment system that stretches about halfway across the entire dashboard. The C-Class has more of a tablet-style screen, which necessitates the driver repeatedly lowering their head to look at it. The 3 Series' screen, in contrast, curves along with the driver's line of sight.
