BMW X1 vs BMW X2

BMW X1 vs BMW X2

Time to kick into high gear and feel the rush of a luxury SUV that’s ready to knock your socks off.

For the adventurous at heart who want to cause a splash around Pontiac, Birmingham, and Bloomfield, Michigan, BMW has the type of vehicle you’ve been looking for. The only question is, which sort of sporty SUV is the one for you?

While these two performance models might seem very similar on the surface, there’s more than meets the eye for any vehicle. Here at Erhard BMW of Bloomfield, we’ve broken down the projected 2022 BMW X1 vs. the 2022 BMW X2, so you can get a taste of what you can expect from either model.1

Let’s get started to see what thrills await!

Safety of BMW X1 vs BMW X2

Stay safe on your commutes and take advantage of the drive assists offered by the X2 and predicted for the X1.

Avoid straying on the highway with Lane Departure Warning, which activates to keep you within the detected lines of your lane. In the case of hazards up ahead, Frontal Collision Warning has you covered, alerting you on the interior dashboard, or even activating the brakes, to help. These two features come standard in the 2022 BMW X2 and are predicted to appear in the 2022 BMW X1.

While the X2 gives you LED headlights, the X1 is predicted to come with automatic high-beam headlights, so you can always see where you’re going wherever you drive. Stay safe with either of these sporty models!

Start Your Engines

It’s projected that when it comes to performance, both the X1 and X2 will be evenly matched to start. Get ready for the 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, standard on the X2 and predicted for the X1, and kicks out up to 228 horsepower to whip you around.

It’s also believed that the X1 will feature an 8-speed automatic transmission, like the X2 already does. Drive steady as the vehicle efficiently shifts between gears to deliver you the needed performance to get the job done.

Speaking of getting the job done, odds are that the X1 will give you the choice between the power of standard front-wheel-drive or the optional extra control of BMW’s intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive. That choice is already granted on the X2.

On the X2, you can upgrade the engine to generate an optional grand-slamming 301 horsepower if you want more of a kick, making this the sportier choice for drivers with a need for speed.

Whichever vehicle you choose, you can be sure it will have everything needed to give you a powerful ride.

A Spacious Cabin

The X1 has a cabin predicted to be comfortable and spacious, much like the cabin of the X2, making them both perfect for your 5-passenger journeys. But when we compare the interior of the X1 vs. the X2, we see a noticeable difference in the predicted dimensions.

While the X2 has a cargo volume of 21.6 cubic feet, it’s predicted that the 2022 X1 may come with over 27 cubic feet of space for your luggage, meaning you and your passengers can take more on the go.

If you need extra space for your passengers, you can all sit back and enjoy the projected extra size of the X1.
