Meet the 2023 BMW iX
The BMW iX is the performance SUV of BMW’s electric lineup and provides a great deal of power under the hood. Split between two trims, the xDrive50 and the M60, the iX also has several upgrades that can be individually added to your vehicle, giving you the ability to customize your vehicle to your lifestyle and needs.
What’s New for 2023?
New for the 2023 model year is the M60 trim of the iX, which adds a unique 610-horsepower electric powertrain that has a standard driving range of up to 290 miles and is cushioned by an advanced air-suspension system that will keep your ride smooth no matter how far or fast you go.
Additionally, BMW has consolidated some of its optional upgrades together into the Ultimate Package, which includes soft-closing doors, glass and wood controls, radiant heating within the cabin, a 360-degree view HD camera, an upgraded 18-speaker Harmon Kardon premium sound system, and automatic parking assistance features.

Performance and Range
Despite only being in its second year of production, BMW’s iX already offers a premier-class driving experience with exceptional speed. The base-level xDrive50 reaches 60 mph from a standing start in just 4 seconds flat, while the M60 trim gets that down to just 3.2 seconds. Additionally, an available upgraded 105.2-kWh battery pack expands the total range of the iX up to 324 miles per charge.
Robust Safety Features
A long list of standard safety features comes standard on both trims of the iX, including front collision warning systems, blind spot sensors, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high beams, parking sensors in the front and rear, safe exit sensors and visual warning systems, and automatic parking assist to help prevent collisions of all severity.
Additionally, both trim levels of the iX come with BMW’s automatic Active Protection System which adjusts multiple settings, including closing windows, tightening seatbelts and applying the brakes, to reduce the severity of a collision if it does occur.
