4 Trim Levels of the 2025 BMW 5 Series
1. 530i
The base 5 Series trim has a 255-horsepower turbo-four engine that gets you to 60 miles per hour in 5.9 seconds. It provides 295 pound-feet of torque and features an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. This spacious sedan provides more than 18 cubic feet of cargo space. The cabin of the 530i is appointed with synthetic leather upholstery, a moonroof, automatic climate control, push-button start, and power-adjustable heated front seats.
The tech-forward cockpit combines a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen with a 12.3-inch digital driver gauge. The 530i includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charging, navigation, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon stereo with HD and satellite radio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. You’ll also have standard safety equipment such as front and rear parking sensors, automatic parking assist, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, pedestrian detection, and more.
2. 530i xDrive
This trim adds the BMW xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The upgrade shaves down the zero-to-60 time to 5.8 seconds. Otherwise, the 530i xDrive shares its standard and optional amenities with the 530i. You can add comfort to any 5 Series model with the Luxury Seating package, which incorporates heated rear seats and heated and ventilated front seats with extra power adjustments.
Consider the Executive package for unique glass infotainment system controls, power rear sunshades, and a panoramic glass roof. This feature group also includes the features from the Premium package, which comes with voice and gesture controls, an interior camera, a head-up display, a heated steering wheel, remote start, adaptive cruise control, and full LED headlights and cornering lights.
3. 540i xDrive
Step up to the 540i for a turbocharged inline-six that delivers 375 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. You’ll arrive at 60 miles per hour in a thrilling 4.4 seconds. Features and options carry over from the lower trims.
4. 550e xDrive
This plug-in hybrid model is new to the 5 Series lineup for 2025. It combines a turbo-six with an electric motor to provide an incredible 483 horsepower and a 4.1-second zero-to-60 time. The 550e gives you the equivalent of 67 combined city and highway miles per gallon and has an all-electric range of up to 33 miles.
